THE AMENTA: New Album Details Revealed

July 17, 2007

Australia's extreme industrial metal collective THE AMENTA in the studio recording "n0n", the full-length follow-up to its 2004 release "Occasus". All guitars, samples and effects have been tracked and the band will fly to Hobart, Australia later this month to commence recording drums at Red Planet Studios.

According to a press release, "n0n" is "a much darker and more subtle album than its predecessor and is the product of a more experimental recording ethos. THE AMENTA are stepping outside of their comfort zone and enjoying chaos. Riddled with electronic noise and guitar manipulation, 'n0n' pushes modern technology to its limits. Lyrically the album deals with shadowy deals and moral compromises of this sick new world." Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Skin", "Whore", "Vermin", "Spine", "Rape", "Slave", "Entropy", "Atrophy", "Dystrophy", "Cancer", "Junky" and "Dirt".

THE AMENTA will re-release its debut album, "Occasus", in Europe in limited-edition deluxe slipcase with a bonus DVD on July 23.
